Result IP eth0	Subnet Mask (NIC on Internet side, or router side)
Result IP eth1	Subnet Mask (Local LAN side, towards workstations, etc...)
Gateway IP	and speed of this router. Round speed up if not exact. For example choose 100M-Aliant if site is 50M Aliant and choose 1G Eastlink if site is 300M Eastlink.

Hostname Domain *** Do not put an underscore character or spaces in host or domain names. ***

Vlan Setup: Only use this if the circuit is a trunked vlan port. At this point only at Aliant sites that boards have switched to using trunk instead of access ports

Other Provider Setup: Use if using a provider such as SeaSide which does not provide EDnet IPs and you wish to have a tunnel setup to continue using an EDnet IP subnet.

Field descriptions

What live IP am I going to install this great system on?
- This is the IP of the computer that was just booted using the boot diskette
and a password
- This is the password that is installed to the new computer. It is also kept with the config of this install so that if the install fails, you can recreate it.
Contact/E-mail/Phone/Location/Board
- These are used to track the site incase information needs to passed along about the install. Location and Board must be filled in.
Result IP eth0
- This is the IP that sits on the side of the router. This nic should be connected to the router via crossover, hub, coax, or the like. It should not be connected directly on the LAN.
Masks
- These are the ethernet masks of the networks each of the nics sit on. 255.255.255.192 gives the 64 IP range. If you are going to do DHCP you should have a larger mask like 255.255.0.0 on eth1.
Result IP eth1
- This is the IP that sits on the local LAN. If you are using DHCP, it should be a 10.x.x.x IP, usually 10.0.0.1.
Gateway IP
- The gateway IP is the IP of the router that connects to the Internet.
speed
- Speed is the speed of the link you have to the internet.
Hostname / Domain
- Hostname and Domain to give the server.
Other Provider IP / Other Provider Gateway IP / Other Provider Subnet Mask
- IP information when using an other provider which does not provide EDnet IPs and you wish to have a tunnel setup to continue using an EDnet IP subnet.
Magic Arp
- You can install this solution at a site without changing the local LAN computer gateways to point to this box. To do that, select Magic Arp and give the IP range at this site that should be made to work without any gateway changes.
Make DHCP available
- Selecting this will allow this box to dish out IPs to clients using the DHCP protocol. It will give clients IPs on the 10.0.x.x network. These clients will use masquerading to get to the Internet.
Make PPTPD available
- Selecting this will allow this box to run a PPTP server so any client running a PPTP client can connect providing they have the correct password. After connecting the client will have an IP on the internal network.
Make Blockall rules available
- Selecting this will block all outgoing traffic from the internal network with the exception of the following ports:

  Extra ports can be allowed through by editing /etc/sysconfig/blockalldata once the installation is complete
Enable URL Filtering
- Choose what kind of URL filtering you require.
- Selecting Netsweeper will configure squid to use the redir program for URL filtering. The Netsweeper server that redir uses will be based on the Board selected above.
- Selecting SquidGuard will configure squid to use the squidguard program for URL filtering.
- Selecting None will configure squid to not do any URL filtering.
SquidGuard Categories
- Choose all the categories you wish SquidGuard to filter, if you choose to use SquidGuard filtering. You can edit /etc/squid/squidguard.conf later to change what gets filtered.
